What is a Sightseeing Tour?

Our tours are one-hour narrated Detroit River cruises open to the public.

How much is the tour?

Adult tickets: $18
Seniors 60+: $13
Children 6 to 12: $10
Children 5 and under: $5

How long is the tour?

The length of our river tour is 1 hour.

When does boarding begin?

Boarding is on a first come first served basis and begins 15 minutes prior to departure. We suggest arriving at least 30 minutes prior to departure time to take a place in line.

What is your schedule?

Saturday & Sunday
Departures at 1:00pm, 2:30pm, 4pm and 5:30pm

Does the schedule ever change?

There are no schedule changes anticipated for 2023.

Where do I catch the boat?

Our primary dock is located in Detroit at Cullen Street Plaza (previously known as the Rivard St. Plaza) – 1340 East Atwater St, Detroit, MI 48207.

We have two other dock locations depending on the tour function. You can find directions to all of our docks here.

Where do I park?

Detroit – Public parking is available on Atwater Street and at the lot at Rivard and Atwater. There are also paid parking options at Beaubien Place Garage and the Renaissance Center’s Port Atwater Garage.

How do I buy a ticket?

Tickets may be purchased at the docks. We accept cash and all major credit cards. Please note that credit card processing is dependent on our having access to a wireless network.

Can I make a reservation?

Sorry, but we do not accept reservations for our public sightseeing tours. We board on a first come first served basis and suggest arriving at least 30 minutes early.

Is there WiFi on board?

Yes, all boats are equipped with hi-speed WiFi for your use at no charge.

What if I have a group?

Please call the Diamond Jack office for information. Group tours and private charter options are available for larger groups.

Do you take credit cards?

We have credit card machines, but sometimes it is hard to receive a signal at our docking areas. When this happens it is not possible to use the machines. We suggest payment with cash.

Are children allowed?

Yes. Children of all ages are welcomed on the boat when accompanied by an adult. We ask that children are supervised at all times. There is no running or climbing while on board.

Can I bring a stroller on board?


Are dogs or other pets allowed?

Service dogs are allowed on board.

Do you sell food?

We have a snack bar with chips, candy, cookies, beer, wine and soft drinks.

Can I bring food with me?

We do not allow passengers to bring food, picnic baskets, cake, etc. on public sightseeing tours. However, an extensive catering menu is available for all private charters.
